While wishing Nigerian politicians a happy weekend on Friday, former Senator Shehu Sani reminded them that the 200 children kidnapped from a school in Tegina, Niger State, have been held captive for almost two months.
Remember that scores of children were stolen from a Muslim Koranic school in Tegina, Niger State, in May of 2021.
The bandits hiked the ransom to N22 million Naira after the parents of the kidnapped pupils raised N11 million Naira. The parents who could no longer afford the ransom have now placed their trust in God.
Shehu Sani, a former senator, has recently reminded Nigerian officials of the anguish some parents are experiencing as their sons and daughters stay in kidnappers’ den.
He wrote on his verified Facebook wall: “Dear Nigerian leaders and Nigerian people; have a blessed weekend,
“Remember that the 200 students kidnapped from the school in Tegina, Niger State are still in the hands of bandits for over two months.”
