Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, has told captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that his present lack of confidence in front of goal cannot be allowed to affect the rest of his game for the Gunners.
Arsenal have gone five games without a goal from Aubameyang.
During the early weeks of the season, Arteta and analysts complimented the Gabonese international striker for his work rate, despite the fact that he had missed his last two penalties for Arsenal.
But, regardless of how many goals he scores for the North London club, Arteta has advised Aubameyang that he cannot afford to let his energy levels decrease.
“Putting the ball in the net or not putting the ball in the net can be a difference of centimetres or a second, and Auba hasn’t lost that capacity,” Arteta stated before of the Man United match.
“Our front players have to put people on the ball under pressure every single time.”
The kick-off time for Man United vs Arsenal is 9.15 pm.
