Customs kaduna area command, engages host community to strengthen relationship

Nigeria Customs Service ,kaduna area Command engage kabala host community to strengthen the existing cordial relationship.

The Customs Area Controller, Yakubu Salihu, said during a meeting with his management and the host community members .

He said Comptroller General of Customs col Hameed Ali (Rtd) and his Management team are doing great in revenue generation which in turn is used for infrastructural development in the country.

Comptroller Salihu expresses his gratitude to the leaders for honoring his invitation and pleaded that the cordial relationship that has been in existence between the command and the host community should be maintained.

He stated that the Command has also in the past engages in Cooperate Social Responsibility to the Community by distributing relief materials during the distribution of relief materials, and issuance of scholarships to members of the host community, employing their sons among others.

According to him,the command will maintain the relationship by organizing meetings with the community leaders from time to time.

He then promised to give scholarships to some pupils of the community in Customs Primary School.

In his remarks , Malam Danlami Bawa the village Head of the Kabala Doko community expressed appreciation for the invitation they received for the meeting and appealed to Customs for a better synergy between them.

Speaking also , Abdullahi Yunusa and Chief Imam of Kabala Costain Jumu’ah Mosque, said the meeting was the first of its kind to be organized, but Customs is up and doing in its relations to the community.

On his part Malam Aliyu Abdurrahman ,Village Head of Kabala Costain said Nigeria Customs Service has been participating in their town hall meetings, employing their sons, providing security to them and the good relationship is a long one.

Mall Abdullahi Auwal, the Chief Imam Guest Inn Jumu’ah Mosque, Kabala reiterated that they will put in their best to strengthen this relationship and called for continual interaction with Customs periodically.

One of the youth leaders Ibrahim Bashir appreciates the Controller for initiating the Forum and promised that he will extend the gesture to the whole youths of Kabala.

Speaking also the General Commander of the Coalition of Joint Task Force of Kaduna State and Community Base Organization
El-Abbas Muhammad said that he was born and brought up in Kabala and there was no case of irregularities from the host community to Customs.

” My men are working tirelessly within and around Kabala to maintain law and order and we are working hand in hand with Kaduna Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service” he added.
