APPEALS applaud KDSG performance towards implementing the project

The National Project Coordinator, Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Implementation Support Projects (APPEALS), Mohammed Jobdi has appreciated the Kaduna State government performance towards implementing the project.

He made the commendation during the 8th World Bank and Federal Government of Nigeria Implementation Support Mission (ISM) meeting held Saturday in Kaduna.

Jobdi explained that that purpose of the meeting was to interact with the states government and access the achievements made so far in implementing the project.

Responding to journalists, the Kaduna State Project Coordinator, Yahaya Aminu revealed that the project was designed to support ten thousand farmers adding that almost eight thousand of them had benefited and were both individuals and groups.

Aminu further stated that the supports comprised capacity building, business development support, support technology among others.

In a separate interview, Kaduna state Commissioner of Agriculture, Ibrahim Hussaini described APPEALS as one of the projects that has positive impact on the livelihood of small holders farmers particularly women and youths.

The Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Support (APPEALS), is a WorldBank assistedd project, implemented through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development

The project which has six participating which includes, Cross River, Enugu, Kaduna, Kano, Kogi, and Lagos.
